I am going to attempt to make dining room chair covers today. I do not know what color though. I mean once I perfect it , I know I will make many more to change with my moods....lol! 

STUDIO 609

Studio 609 will consist of women's clothing, mens accessories, children's items and even decor for your home. I am so excited about the items that have already been made and have received such positive reviews! The number one item that is being sold right now is the BUDDY KAPS. The BUDDY KAPS were made after a great man in my life , who just happened to call everyone his BUDDY. This man was my pop-pop , he was the kindest man I ever knew. He worked as a junk yard man ( yeah I know the Fred Sanford song is playing in your head right now) , he worked on the rails , he also worked at a neighborhood bar ( that is what I always remember) . He was such an awesome man , he would come home and sit in his favorite chair in the dinning room and help me with my home work ( well tell me the answers) when my Nana was working with me on some math problems...lol. All in all just a great person that God placed in my life. The BUDDY KAPS  were like , I guess you could say a tribute to him. He would always walk home and I would wait for sometimes on the porch and I would see my pop-pop come around that corner wearing that same old hat . So one day while shopping at my favorite spot , the thrift store . I saw a hat just like my pop-pop's and I was about to buy it and I said  no ,I guess I will get one later. Well one night I was home and remembered that my husband had a hat similar to the hat at the thrift store. I took it apart and then said ..omgoodness now that I have used it as a pattern , how do I out this thing together? Well my prayers were answer and hence ...the BUDDY KAP. The BUDDY KAP is a must have because NOONE will have the same cap. You pick out the outside pattern you like , but we pick the inside. The inside never really matches , and the best part we line up each hat to be different. That is why no cap will ever be the same. Needless yo say the caps have been a t hit ....check out the pics......

Well today I have decided to add myself to the world of blogging. I have always had the gift to create things that I wanted . When I was a child I would see dolls or stuffed toys that I desired and then I would come up with a way to create it. I remember this one puppy dog that I made with old wash clothes and tape...man I would come home everyday and be so excited about what I had created. I even made dolls and sold them at the corner card store when I was about 10 , so yes this creative itch has always been in me. As I got older I dabbled in hair, jewelry and even cooking different dishes as well as candy making. My family says I get this talent from my Nana , who was a great women . She would sew, cook, can veggies and fruits and they even had a small farm and I hear that the garden that she and my pop-pop kept was the talk of the town. She would always show me how to make things, she taught me how to sow by hand  . As I look back on things I really didn't have the patients to learn allot of things. Now as I get older and have a little bit more patients I can carry out allot of my childhood dreams to do allot of the crafts I never thought I could do. I am now excited about crocheting and sewing. I usually sew free hand ( without a pattern) but I am trying to understand and follow a pattern so I can expand my new fashion line STUDIO 609. Studio 609 will consist of clothing for women, accessories for men , babies and  items for around the home . I am excited to share my journey with you and will tune you in on my new items as well as where to buy them . Stay tuned for some items as well as some tutorials to come in the near future.
